COUNTRY singer Shania Twain has given birth to her first child.


Shania and producer husband Mutt Lange, who live in Switzerland, are said to be "delighted" at the arrival of son Eja.

Shania, 35, who wed 51-year-old Mutt in 1993, didn't tell her fans she was expecting until March.

The singer has amassed a £100m fortune from the success of her albums Come On Over and The Woman In Me.

it wasn't front page news here in the US either, Ben.. which made me kinda angry.. but i didn't stay angry long b/cuz i am so excited and so happy for Shania. it does irritate me though that Shania isn't making front page on the birht of her child.. but Faith had a cover on the announcement of her 3rd child, Celine had front page news, and everyday Mariah Carey is on everything b/cuz she is in the hospital... i think that Shania deserves better than that. who knows.. maybe they are waiting til they know more..SHANIA FAN FOREVER AND ALWAYS NO MATTER WHAT!!!

If Shania wanted it to be front page news, she could have done so. She decided she wanted to keeep it private. How can you expect front page news when all the news you have is 3 lines? I'm glad it's not front pgae news, because Shania did not want it to be.

The British press never listen to the wishes of anyone. If it was'nt front page news here it means the paper belived there is'nt enough intrest in the person at the time to sell the paper! I'm glad they did'nt put her on the front page too for the same reason though http://www.shania-twain.org/messages/smile.gif
