WELL YES SHANIA MAY NOT BE IN THE PUBLIC EYE OR IS SHE???? THE OTHER DAY I GOT A CONGRATS PHONE CALL.. MY PORTRAIT OF SHANIA WAS ON CNN!!!!!!! THE DIVA IS ON GRACELAND GROUNDS AND IT'S BEEN REPORTED FANS FROM AROUND THE WORLD CAME FOR THIS HISTORIC EVENT. PHOTOS OF THE PORTRAIT WERE TAKEN, AN OFFICIAL STATEMENT HAS BEEN MADE AND WILL BE POSTED ON MY SITE WHICH IS BEING RE-DONE AT THE MOMENT. NEVER BEFORE HAS AN ENTERTAINER BEEN HONOURED ON THE GROUNDS AND FOLKS ARE LOVING IT. WAIT TIL YOU READ THE STATEMENT RELEASED CONCERNING SHANIA! I'VE BEEN GETTING SO MANY CALLS, LETTERS ETC SAYING CONGRATS ON HAVING YOUR ART OF SHANIA ON CNN! TO MAKE IT EVEN BETTER SHANIA HAS BEEN PLACED RIGHT IN THE DOORWAY AS YOU ENTER THE HOME -SHE'S ONE OF THE FIRST THINGS YOU SEE! THERE ARE THREE OF MY PORTRAITS IN TOTAL HUNG WITHIN THE HOME ITSELF. DONNA PRESLEY HAS REALLY DONE A WONDERFUL JOB WITH EVERYTHING WE ARE VWERY CLOSE FRIENDS AND WE HAVE SPOKEN A GREAT DEAL OF SHANIA DONNA AND HER HUSBAND ARE GREAT SHANIA FANS TOO. INFACT DONNA SAW SHANIA AT THE CMA'S ONE YEAR (BECAUSE SHE IS A MEMBER OF THE CMA)! ANYWAY I WILL BE SHARING ALL THE INFO WITH YOU ALL I'M UPDATING MY SITE WITH STUFF TO KEEP ALL SHANIA FANS UP TO DATE! ALSO WHEN ALL IS FINISHED I PLANN TO PASS INFO ON TO MERCURY SO THEY CAN HEAR AND SEE FIRST HAND THIS WONDERFUL PROJECT AND WITH SHANIA BEING THE FIRST MERCURY SHOULD HEAR ABOUT IT.

TWAIN CRAZY
So many of us here who love Shania and her music feel the comparison with Elvis is so valid. We often refer to them as the King and the Queen. It's more than interesting that so many Elvis fans are also Shania Twain fans. I think that with time not only us but the world will draw similar comparisons and as a result bestow the deserved title of "Queen" on Shania and her legacy. She already has her Graceland in Timmins (which so many of us have been lucky enough to visit). Your fine work done thru your love of the lady and your passion for her art has helped tremendously to encourage the comparison with Elvis which in effect is helping to bestow the title of "Queen" that Shania thru her work and life is earning. I feel justified in my opinions on the issue given Donna's admiration and love for Shania and for her work to such a degree that she would allow Shania (as represented thru your wonderful artwork) to be exhibited in Elvis's temple. I'm thankful for your friendship with Donna, for the exposure your work and Shania's greatness is getting in the media, and most of all for your abilities as an artist and your growth as a person. Great news TC!

Since I am also a veteran Elvis fan, I think I can safely say this event is going to give Shania a significant boost in popularity. Now, not that she needs one, but I think it will happen anyway. The majority of Elvis fans are extremely devoted to him, just as we are to Shania. What I have found though is that when something or someone gets a "stamp of approval" as relating to him, Elvis fans warm up to it or them right away. What I have seen happen time and time again is that someone who has a connection to Elvis is never forgotten by the true Elvis fans. So in regard to that, I foresee now that Shania may pick up many new devoted fans in the process of becoming recognized by many people who may have or have not heard of her but were not all that interested before. For many of these people, I think this will change. I could be out in left field with this theory, but I don't think so. Their music is on the same plain. I so want it to happen. Time will tell.

Doc, this is really eerie! As I was reading Twaincrazy's post, I thought I 've never posted on this topic but have always felt there was a comparison to be made between Elvis and Shania so I thought I'll say it this time. But I see, because you get up earlier than I do in the morning, you have beat me to it. More than that, you have used the same words I would have (King and Queen) but said it much more smoothly than I could have. Thank you doc. Elvis and Shania are separated by time and circumstance but share the same quiet charisma and the same passion among their fans.

And Twaincrazy, congratulations again! You are really on to something there.

This is fantastic! Natasha, you have pictures on display at BOTH the Shania Centre and Graceland! It can't get any better than that. And what a wonderful tribute to Shania to be so honored. This beats another Grammy or such by miles. As most of you know, I'm a big Elvis fan so I couldn't be more pleased. To me Elvis and Shania inhabit a part of the stratosphere than no other entertainer has ever reached. My feelings are summed up by the poem I wrote a couple years ago and posted at the Shania Room.
