SNL-Was Shania ever on it?

Has Shania ever been on SNL??? [Saturday Night Live? I don't ever recall her being a musical guest.

i think she was on SNL...i saw an article at canoe.ca that said shania was going to appear on SNL.

well i heard a while back that she was on snl. i think she played a role where she's kinda flirtatious with david spade. i saw it on a website, in a gallery section. but the pics were taking so long that i had to shutdown the computer so i didn't get to see them.

I read somewhere she performed YWML and was in a skit with David Spade. Anyone have this?? I know I am missing it.

I seem to have a recollection that this skit never came off; scheduling difficulties, something like that, and David Spade apologized to Shania. Anyone else remember something like that?

With all the tapes and cds of Shania's appearances on TV that have been made available and distributed, for example, by cbspock for members of the STUOFC, or on ebay, if you all have never seen or even heard of a recording of any performance or skit by Shania on SNL, it probably never happened.

I'm pretty sure she WAS on it. I seem to remember trying to stay up for it, but I was just too wasted and fell asleep before it started. Yes.... I AM one of those idiots who can't program a VCR. That was before I became totally immersed (the polite way of saying obsessed) with Shania's music. Had it been a couple nights later, I would have held the eyes open with toothpicks OR just let the tape run already!

Yep. I think the skit was taped but never shown. She's more famous these days and that wouldn't happen now. Maybe someday that tape will surface. I heard she did sing a song on the show but I've never heard of anyone who actually saw it so I'm a bit confused about that part of it.
