Providing entertainment for US troops in war or peacetime is one of the many services performed by the USO (United Service Organizations). While established stars often receive invitations to perform, new artists trying to make a breakthrough are actively encouraged to contact the USO and sign up. It's a great way to gain tour experience, rub elbows with more experienced acts and serve your country at the same time. The pay is great - no money, but a Happy Heart.

Here's some links. Good luck.
