IHOTL is #21 this week

IHOTL really have a lot of legs. It keep climbing slowly but steadily on the chart to 21 this week (from 24).

Also FTMO on regained the no. 1 spot of Adult Contemparary Recurrent chart (her 9th times)

I think this song is doing great, but realistically, I can't see it going too much higher. I'd be as happy as anyone if I'm wrong, but let's face it, the CD is so well known now and without a video to help promote it, we'll be very lucky if it gets up to between 15 to 18 which would be very good I think. Even as much as we are requesting it, I don't believe it can make the top 10. I do see something very strange though. If memory serves me right, both RTC & COO didn't get as high as IHOTL with videos, although they weren't particularly strong videos. I remember we strongly requested RTC but it didn't get much higher than 30 did it?

For those who read my post about being hooked on Shania, my Mom just called me a minute ago to tell me she really liked Shania's new song. She had heard it on the way home and wondered if I knew what the name of it was. I told her that I am sure Shania does not have any new songs out. The only song she has out right now is IHOTL. Mom said that it might be it. I asked her if she remembered any of the words. She said she wasn't sure but that she really likes the way the beat kinda keeps changing. She then said to me: "Shania really is a pretty talented girl". I was very pleased with that remark and very happy that she didn't again say all the boys like Shania as usual. I said do you remember hearing something like this and I kind of sang: "not even Dr. Ruth is gonna tell me how I feel". Mom said: "yes that's it thats the song"! I was glad. I thought it was really weird because I'm sitting here on my lunch hour thinking & writing about IHOTL and all of a sudden, there is my mother on the phone asking about it! Strange. She has never called me up to ask about a Shania song before, maybe a George Strait, Alan Jackson, or Vince Gill song, but Shania, uh, uh. Weird. The only song she ever mentioned before of Shania's that she really likes is IYNIIFL(IOH) Have nice weekend FV & everyone else!
