It looks like, according to McGraws.com, Faith is also releasing an album this fall, along with a tv special. Hmmmm. Guess she and her people are taking another page from the Shania books! I have a lot to say about this, but I'll keep my mouth shut because of past experience on the topic.

I love opening my mouth though :D You mean the album is back on for the fall, last I heard it was delayed. Oh, and another thing she is doing, is buying a wedding song to sing on the album. Guess she just can't let Shania have the best wedding songs ever written in the last 10 years. Boy, Faith will have to buy a lot of songs if Shania does release a double album. :p I bet everyone a Krispy Kreme that Shania's album is released first, and WB will hold Faith's album like they did with Breathe.

Amanda, I think it is both Tim and Faith are doing seperate specials this fall, and at this point, neither has made official that they will perform together.

Offically, Tim is currently working on his new album scheduled to come out this fall, however, it is not official that Faiths will also be comming out this fall.

Frankly, I don`t see it. Can you imagine the competition here, between Faith and Tim both releasing their CDs at the same time? I personally think that it may reduce the sales for each, and both are mega stars.

Now if Shania releases hers, I think Tim will have a huge run for his money. If Faith follows with hers let say three months later, I doubt she can keep up with Shania maybe her own husband.

Never thought of it that way. I think Faith fans expect them to perform together. However, I think it is smart of Tim to get out of Faith's shadow, with more solo exposure, he might actually be able to take Garth Brook's old spot. Faith would also be smart to keep her release away from Shania's, since we will make sure Shania stays at number 1 HEY1!!!!

The strategizing about when to release albums is something that need only concern Faith, Tim and others. Shania has no reason to give it a thought. Her album will easily outsell any other country or country-pop album released before, at the same time, after or whatever. If Shania has any competition on the charts it'll have to come from 'NSync, Britney Spears, U2 or such. JMO

I think that is so appropriate Viva. People in our generation like Steve and us remember when Elvis burst on the scene. Since Shania's WIM days I have sensed a feeling similar to what I felt in 1956-57.

I wasn't thinking about popularity levels or sales. Shania isn't there yet IMO. I was thinking about my own visceral reactions - a sense of excitment, energy and exhileration - for both the early Elvis and the present Shania.

OH you will get no argument from me about Shania being no 1, Viva, none at all. I don`t think the artists you mentioned will give her any competition either. Look at the 37 million Come On Over albums sold World Wide, no 2 on the all time list!!!

Shania is in a league of her own. So with that said, it is her competition that has to look up to her , not the other way around.
