when shania,s THE WOMEN IN ME first came out the powers to be said it wasnt country and everybody was scared to play it.But if you play anything from that cd now,it sounds more country than most of the stuff you hear on country raido.

And what it I ANT NO QUITTER goes number 1 because of it true country sound,do you think that will influnce shania to maybe make a all pure country cd for her next one.What,s yah,s opion on this matter.

Just shows Bashville's hypocracy.
With all the respect to Wilson, if her quite commercial album is the saver of trad country, TWIM is trad. country too....


But I doubt Quitter will go #1 - it may just be too country for country radio.

I don't know when you could hear there a classy old-style swing like this....

And though not a totally country fan, I would like to hear a trad album from her, but with a real "Shania" touch...;) :p

I don't know Jud, it may be VERY popular with listeners. And Nashville couldn't say it wasn't country. They might actually embrace the song as a "Shania is finally listening to us" when she really isn't. What they don't know won't hurt 'em. :p

the real conflict between Shania and Bashville is not really how much she's country, but how big a SUPERSTAR she is....
