Tour right after the album release (People)

Shania Twain Dishes On Fragrance, Recording & Touring
May 29, 2007

How does a country music super-star announce her newest fragrance? By inviting a select group of beauty editors to a luncheon in New York City -- and I was the lucky one seated right next to Shania Twain. Yep, baby argula salad and white truffle risotto with Shania. And yes, she is completely gorgeous, teeny-tiny, and down-to-earth friendly in a way that is pleasantly surprising when you're talking about, oh, one of the best-selling female recording artists of all time. She told me she and her husband (and music-producing partner) Mutt Lang will start working on her new album this summer, with a tour to follow next year. "Oh, definitely! We'll tour very soon after the album comes out," she said. And the new fragrance? A follow-up to her runaway success 2005 fragrance, Shania by Stetson, her new scent is Shania Starlight by Stetson (sense a theme?), which is meant to reflect the glamorous side of the star with a mix of freesia and sexy jasmine and amber. Shania Starlight by Stetson will be available in September for $18-$42 at deparment stores, drugstores, and ulta.com. -- Elizabeth Lamont

Well, it will depend when the album will be released. If they're already planning to tour in 2008, the album will be out before summer, I think, around this time next year. And then she could tour from September.

Jud 05-30-2007 05:38 AM

Well, I think the tour will be built around the school of Eja.

cbspock 05-30-2007 06:07 AM

Maybe she is looking at an early 2008 release, and tour during the summer, or a summer release with a winter tour?

Hmmm, yeah, it could be but a summer release it's not so good for sales...people usually don't buy music during this period.
A tour built around the school of Eja is almost impossible, I think. School starts mid-september till mid-december and from mid-january to mid-june.
I believe the next tour will be very hard to plan, unless she wants Eja to take private lessons with a private teacher so she can take both of them out on tour. But I don't think Shania is this kind of person, I think that she wants Eja to be surrounded by others kids and she's right.
Celine's son is in Vegas since 2003 but he takes private lessons at home. I don't know why but I think it's not a good thing for a baby.

cbspock 05-30-2007 09:48 AM

I have a feeling this tour will not be as long as Up!, or it will be broken up more if it is.

I think with all the complications, if she wanna build the tour around Eja's life, the European part is the easiest. afterall, she never will be too far away from him.

Other parts as the US and if Australia/NZ and more are the hardest tasks for planning and building a comfortable schedule both for fans and for the delivers.

Such a pretty bottle, I had to print it on photo paper. :hugs:

Okay, the album? The tour? Let's hope it all works out in reasonable fashion. :) Ms. Lamont sounds like someone refreshing for a change who has something to say regarding Shania. :)

Maybe she could play stadiums rather then arenas, this time around. That way she could play less dates, but still play to the same number of people. Shania would have no problem selling out large stadiums, and there are many stadiums in The US and Europe she could fill. The only problem with Stadium concerts is the distance between the fans and the performer, Shania likes to reach out to the crowd, and that can be hard in a stadium.
