TIYD keeps growing on me. I thought when she first did it, it was kind of simple and plain, but yeah, I like it now.

From Tommy's #1 Site:

• 10/6/15 Concerts In Manchester, NH (10/6) & Albany, NY (10/7) CANCELLED! From Facebook: 4:12pm ET: Shania Twain's "Rock This Country" tour dates at the Verizon Wireless Arena on October 6th in Manchester, NH and the Times Union Center on October 7th in Albany, NY have been cancelled due to illness. Shania Twain's doctors have advised her to rest for several days after she was diagnosed with a respiratory infection. The concert dates are unable to be rescheduled due to Shania Twain's current touring schedule. All tickets will be refunded at point of purchase. Shania Twain apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause her fans and greatly appreciates their understanding. The tour will resume on October 9th at the Videotron Centre in Quebec City.

I had thoughts about Manchester, New Hampshire as it is only about 160 miles away, guess not. :(*

Such a bummer for the fans who had tickets. I remember being in a similar place when she cancelled a few vegas shows in Febraury of last year. Luckily, I was able to rebook for June. This, I know is different because it's the final tour. I have seen so many negative comments towards Shania about not rescheduling, but they don't get that it's not entirely up to her. It goes through her, her management, AEG, the venue, etc... Plus the fact that she is taking her voice more seriously these days. I do feel bad for the fans, but I hope she gets well because her voice is in a more fragile place than it was twelve years ago.

She definitely seems not to be taking chances these days. I remember seeing her in Charlotte during the Up! tour and she was sick, but still did the show. I guess people don't realize the logistics in rescheduling.

:SM That's true. I remember back in 2003 how fantastic she sounded in Ottawa, but then in Montreal in the Spring of 2004, her voice was noticeably strained. In fact when she did FTMO, a big part of the song her voice was not really there. It was covered by the backup singers. I remember an article at the time that talked about her voice sounding hoarse and that maybe she should cancel a few shows, but the article indicated she was pushing on. So, yeah, I'm glad to see she is taking a lot better care of her voice this time around. Hope she gets well soon. :SM
