I just love it and I agree with Chris, I would like to see Nashville bow to her feet now and what better timing with the CMA Awards this week and how they treat her and for her to get this wonderful honor, I think Shania will gladly except this over any type of an award next to getting an award voted by her fans!!! :clap

Wednesday, November 16, 2005 Shania Twain is among 43 recipients of the Order of Canada announced Tuesday. The 40-year-old singer/songwriter, pictured, who was born in Timmins, Ont., has sold millions of albums and won numerous awards including Grammy Awards, Juno Awards and Billboard Music Awards. Other recipients include athlete Catriona LeMay Doan, dancer James Kedelka and former B.C. NDP leader Dave Barrett. Governor-General Michaelle Jean will be presenting them with the nation's highest civilian honour at a ceremony on Friday morning.
