I would not take the ramblings of hard drinking,wife beating old George too seriously. 10 years ago he thought Shania was great and wanted to sing with her, that never happened and since that time he has put her down. Shania has already achieved her legendary icon status, although the old guard of Nashville will never admit it. She is the ONLY international mega star that has any ties to country music. I don't expect that she will ever get the respect that she deserves from Nashville, but I do expect that she will continue to out sell and out tour all of them for as long as she wants to. I for one will support her in whatever direction she takes us next!
