Well as an out-of-towner, I'm from NYC, I'd say that Richmond was ready.
Shania did a great, alltough shortened show, that had the house on it's feet. Typical Shania powering through, despite that nagging cold.
I was surprised to see 2 entire sections at the end of the arena, mid-level, that seemed to have no one sitting there. This despite the fact that the level above this was full. I don't know what was up with that, maybe the arena didn't want to sell those seats? I've never seen that many empty seats before.
The local NBC affiliate also did a real nice piece on the local Powaton (sp) high school drum section that got picket to go on stage with Shania.

Fancon 3 was a blast! Thanks to all who made it so, including all my new Shania friends.
