I think this is one of the most amazing thing about Shania' songwriting. She's more writes about moods and situations and feeling, and not explaining it till the end. So she leave the freedom for everyone interpret it based on her/his own life.
On the other hand, when it comes to sing them, she's very strict, and it has to be as she wrote it.
Another great Shania's kind of contradiction.
