Fans from all over the U.S. and Canada came to Nashville to see superstar Shania Twain. One young girl in particular caught the country star's eye. She's a Murfreesboro teen who nearly died in a tragic moped accident. On Friday, fan and superstar met.

Jackie McDaniel was a beautiful ballet dancer. One of six children, she had everything going for her. Then in August, the crash left Jackie with a fractured skull and numerous broken bones. Doctors thought she would surely die. But the brave teen woke up, and after months of recovery, Jackie McDaniel walked for the first time since the accident this week.

Diane Sawyer surprised Jackie with a visit on Thursday, and told her even more good news.

"Tomorrow we are having a party, and there is someone in town who would like to meet you...it's Shania Twain!" said Diane to an excited Jackie.

First thing Friday morning, before Shania even came out to sing, Jackie McDaniel got to meet her favorite star - the perfect get-well gift.

"Hello Shania! You are looking so beautiful," said Jackie to Shania backstage.

"So are you!" said Shania to Jackie.

Like the country diva, Jackie had on her pink, too. Both girls hit it off right away.

"You are an inspiration," Shania told Jackie.

The teen is an inspiration to everyone she knows. Her classmates even crowned her Homecoming Queen. Now she's accomplished another huge goal - meeting a woman that most fans only dream about.

Jackie McDaniel is being home-schooled. If all goes well, she will graduate this year.
