Shania's Homecoming

Mon. Nov. 29 at 8pm ET An exclusive prime-time special featuring international recording superstar Shania Twain.

Entitled Shania's Homecoming, the one-hour special will air Monday, Nov. 29 at 8 p.m. ET, exclusively on CTV (check local listings).

-- Host Ben Mulroney to tape new special with singing superstar in Timmins tomorrow --

CTV announced last month (September 2004) an exclusive broadcast engagement with Twain timed for her return to Canada and her hometown of Timmins, Ontario tomorrow. At that time, CTV also announced that Twain will co-host CTV's Canada AM on Wednesday -- live, on-location at Toronto's Yonge-Dundas Square (Nov. 3). The two programs mark Shania Twain's only television appearances during her upcoming return visit to Canada.

Hosted by etalk Daily's Ben Mulroney, Shania's Homecoming is an exclusive chronicle of Twain's hometown tour of Timmins tomorrow. CTV camera crews have been granted exclusive access, providing viewers with candid, behind-the-scenes footage from her trip home, including her emotional first visit to the "Shania Twain Centre." Viewers will have an intimate view of Twain's first-time reaction to the museum dedicated to her blockbuster career.

With Mulroney along for every step of the way, CTV cameras will also capture Twain as she greets fans, friends and family and visits other local landmarks during the memorable day. In between stops, Mulroney will follow-up on his recent interview with Twain from Montreux, Switzerland, discussing her 10-year career on the eve of the Nov. 9 release of her new album, Shania Twain's Greatest Hits. The prime-time special will also feature highlights from Twain's stint the following day as co-host of Canada AM.

Shania Twain's Greatest Hits, a new album chronicling 18 of Twain's biggest, chart-topping hits as well as three new songs, will be released on Nov. 9, 2004 by Universal Music Canada. It's the first greatest hits package ever from the diamond-selling artist.

Shania Twain's Come On Over was the most successful female solo artist album of all time with worldwide sales of an astonishing 35 million. Her last album, Up!, debuted at Number One on the album charts and was the highest-selling album of 2002, according to Nielsen Soundscan.

Universal Music Canada, a unit of Universal Music Group, is Canada's leading music organization, maintaining an overall 32.5 per cent market share. For further information on Universal Music Canada, please visit www.umusic.ca.
