Hey everyone,
Something really cool happened to me today, and I thought you all might like to hear it. Well, every year at my school, we have a Walk-A-Thon. It is our only mandatory fund-raiser throughout the whole school year. Well, for the first time, this year we had a dance to kick-off the Walk-A-Thon, which is happening next week. So, I was at the dance, and it was sort of boring, so I thought, "Hey, why not ask the DJ if he could play some Shania?" So, I walked over to the DJ, looked through the CDs and found "Up!" I was so happy that he had a Shania CD! So, after about 5 minutes of deciding what song to pick, I decided on "I'm Gonna Getcha Good!" I asked the DJ if he would play it for me, and he said yes! So, a few minutes later, the DJ says "Alright everyone! We have a request for some Shania Twain!" Then "I'm Gonna Getcha Good" starts blaring over the speakers. Everyone knew that I had requested the song, and they all started saying "PAAAIGE!" I gave a loud "WOOOHOOO!", then "Let's Go!" Of course, all the kids in my class and in 8th grade gave a big moan, becuase they "don't like country music", but I didn't care! I was singing and dancing away! Then, I looked around me, and all the little kids knew the song by heart and were singing it as loud as I was and jumping around! Then, I looked over at the teachers' table, and even some of them were singing it, too! That made me smile, because that showed me just how wide Shania's fan base is! It warmed my heart and I was so happy to see that!
