I liked the first part of Shania's duet. But I wondered how they'd swing from the chandeliers during the last part, like on the music video. Then I lost track, distracted as I often am, by looking at the band, they were such fleeting glimpses I had a hard time finding them and seeing if it was her own band. Thought I recognized Randall at left first, then Hardy on keyboard, they Cory on guitar, then definitely Andy on bass, the camera stayed on him long enough to be sure. Meanwhile, the song was going on, and sounded fine. But the ending, oh my. I really enjoyed the song but they could only partly hide their disappointment at the crowd's reserved reaction. The crowd was so..., sitting down in their seats and witholding enthusiasm. And poor Randall, that look of embarrassment. Oh well, they did their best. That music industry, so much politics. You guys know all about it. I only know bits and pieces, thank goodness.

This amazing woman deserves some respect. And Party for Two is SOOO country, Big and Rich is definitely NOT.

I think this is the first time I have ever seen Shania totally fall flat on her face thanks to the audience.

HECK YEAH!!!!! Right on!!!!!!! My feelings exactly!!! I was just venting to my roomie how in no other industry is the one of the best selling artists snubbed & disrespected so badly!!!! GRRR!!! Shania should've just done a satalite feed from a live concert that we were all attending...it would've been SO much better & she would've have a million times more energy to feed from!!!! Shoot, I think zombies had more energy than that darn audience!

A HYPER Shania fan,
Desiree

I have the music going through my stereo, and it all sounds recorded. I popped in the 2002 CMA, and it sounds totally different. The bands sound real.

I think I might turn this off and listen to Shania's Greatest Hits... Is she supposed to appear anymore?

Shania had all this fun and energy and for what! So far most of these performances sound really flat and I like what these artists are singing, but they sound terrible tonight, except for maybe Martina and Reba!
