Dear friends,

This saddens me to say one of our beloved Shania friends and owner of the Shania.com - The Shania Twain Supersite; Trace Green passed away.

Since 1993 Trace ran the Shania.com - The Shania Twain Supersite always providing Shania’s loyal fans and supporters with the most current and accurate information. Trace was always a true professional despite his own personal battles. Trace was always wiling to help in any way he could and made it possible for Shania fans all over the world to have the latest “accurate” Shania news. He was always at battle with rumors and innuendos.

In early April 2007, Trace took some time off to care for his ailing mother, also during this time Trace began having some serious medical problems and was diagnosed in July with Colo-Rectal Cancer. The doctors did everything they could including, radiation and chemo therapy, but the cancer had already spread. Trace’s condition continued to decline and he passed away in December 2007.

Trace was a wonderful person and a dear friend. He will be dearly missed.

That is so sad to hear. I talked with him on numerous occasions.

I'm sorry if this is a dumb or crass question, but how come it's announced 6 months after his passing?

I was recently contacted by his uncle with the devasting news. It took him sometime to find me. I knew Trace was caring for his ailing mother but I had no idea just how ill he was himself.

For those who knew Trace he was a wonderful friend. He devoted his time to his Shania Twain website and his family.

My condolences to his family as well. I didn't know him, but I know the site. It was one of the first ones I found back in 1998 when I was looking for things about Shania. That's too bad.

That's so sad to hear, I never knew about his site until now.

Very, very sad news...his site has been my homepage since I've discovered it. The last update has been in August but I thought it was 'cause Shania has been out of the spotlight for so long apparently with no reason (now we know why).
Wow, is this a bad-news-period or what???
I hope to hear some good news soon...

I was wondering what had happened to him because between his website and this one, these two were the ones I most frequented and when I first became a Shania fan, it was his website I found most of my info!! I also knew about his mother because he emailed a couple of times when I had some Shania questions! This is very sad news and my deepest condolences to his family!!!
