Hope all had a great 4TH!!! Terry and I spent a quiet one by ourselves at home, except for going to my dad's for an hour or so to plant flowers. When we got back, I cranked up the grill and cooked burgers, dogs, and a couple of chicken breasts. We had some strawberry shortcake, and a beer. Last night I watched MACY's 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular from 9:00 to 10:00 p.m. It was great. They had Natasha Bedingfield, Kenny Chesney, Katharine McPhee, and Jordin Sparks. The show was kicked off with Gavin DeGraw's bluesy rendition of "America the Beautiful." But the best part was the fireworks. They did a musical tribute to many of the great composers like Leonard Cohen, plus some other songs like Rock Around The Clock from the 50's. I think the fireworks went on for about 20 minutes. Wish I could have been there to see it. It would sure beat watching it on TV, even if I do have a 42" flat screen. It was like a finally the whole 20 minutes. Former New York Giant running back Tiki Barber was one of the hosts. It was really fun!!!
