I suspect in China if you're not an Olympic athlete your nothing special. I suspect she knew if she couldn't perform things were going to change in her life pretty quickly. I've been lovin' the winter Olympics. Finally got HD TV and it's been soooo soooo cool. Bill

Yes I seen that, it was something else. The skating program last night was great as well but I don't think anyone can beat the Russian, he is soooo good!

I LOOOOOOOOOOOVE sports. I LOOOOOOOOOOOOVE the Olympics and I LOOOOOOOOOOOVE figure skating!
Yesterday I was rooting for the americans in the ice dance! I thought they we're brilliant. Better than the russians, but then again they are so young so they have all the time in the future. Hoping them the best of luck to the World's in Calgary! Navka/Kostomarov will turn pro now, so Tanith/Belbin could win the World's

This is a cute picture, winner Tatiana Navka hugging her daughter Sasha

Canada Women's Hockey Team wins Gold

Canada's Women's Hockey Team dominated the field scoring an amazing 46 - 2 in just 5 games to win the Gold medal - both those goals against were on the powerplay. They were amazing. Go Canada!

Yeah that was so great to see! They skated well on all three nights and deserved that silver. It's amazing that it is the first time in 30 years that we have a medal in that competition

Did anyone see the night when all the best dancers fell down?? The Italian couple were so mad at each other that night and it carried on to last night. They never looked at each other or spoke to one another until their dance last night. After their dance they forgave one another, it was really a moment

There have been alot of great stories in these Olympics about all the atheletes. I know that the American coverage tells stories about other countries athletes, I was wondering if other countries did the same?

Yes, Canada did quite well even with alot of young atheletes on their team. They have won gold now 2 olympics in a row......it is going to be good to see if they can keep the streak alive on their home soil come next Olympics. The USA team will want revenge for Canada beating them in Salt Lake City

Jennifer Heil shows off her gold medal for freestyle moguls at the Winter Olympics in Turin, Italy. (CP / Mike Ridewood)
Congrats to our own Jennifer Heil who at just 22 won the gold medal in women's freestyle moguls. She lives just 10 miles from me. What is amazing is that in the Olympic freestyle moguls - you get only one 30 second trial run to secure your placement for the second run - which is your only chance for the medal. Jennifer placed first on the trial run which allowed her to be last coming down the hill for the medal run. She was so relaxed but totally focused waiting at the top for the go ahead to ski. Her knees were like pistons going down the moguls, placing the fastest time and best score on the aerial tricks. That was the first day of Olympic competition and Canada's first gold medal. Hats off to you Jen.

I'm thinking that was an act.

CBC TV in Canada carries the events live not tape delayed. They even cover events that a Canadian athelete or team is not playing in - showing how the USA and other countries do. Of course when Canada is involved they show the complete event.
