Well as an out-of-towner, I'm from NYC, I'd say that Richmond was ready.

Shania did a great, alltough shortened show, that had the house on it's feet. Typical Shania powering through, despite that nagging cold.

I was surprised to see 2 entire sections at the end of the arena, mid-level, that seemed to have no one sitting there. This despite the fact that the level above this was full. I don't know what was up with that, maybe the arena didn't want to sell those seats? I've never seen that many empty seats before.

The local NBC affiliate also did a real nice piece on the local Powaton (sp) high school drum section that got picket to go on stage with Shania.

They did a weird thing with the 3rd level in Charlotte, but Raliegh was packed.

Now....shortened how??? She leave out the medley???

No mention of BB at all. I may be wrong about this, but it did seem to me that Marc played guitar on a few more songs than he did before. It's been a few months since my last concert, so I don't really recall how many songs he picked up the guitar for. Plus oddly enough, on this tour on once have I landed a seat at that end of the stage. All the rest have been either centered or on the fiddle side.

Now with regard to shortened, again I'm going from memory right now as to what was in the shows I saw before. The medly was still in the show, but she didn't do FTMO (even though the did the into to it), In My Car, and there was something else missing, but I can't put my finger on it right now. I'll have to go and review the old set list.

This all assumes that she didn't shorten the set list after returning from the European leg. I've been so busy lately, that I haven't had time to check in here in almost two months. So I'm a little behind the 8-ball right now. Maybe this was changed when she returned to the US.

Marc, was playing some of BB's parts in Raleigh as well. Okay, so it sounds like she did the set list from Charlotte. Do you remember who did the guitar solo during the medley when they played "You Win My Love"?

Sorry , but no. I think that I want to say it was Randall, but I could be totally wrong. I was simply having too much fun and .

I also just realized that I totally butchered the spelling in my last post.

This:

even though the did the into to it

Should have been, this:

even though they did the intro to it

I just got a new laptop and I'm still adjusting to the tactile feel of the keyboard. Either that or maybe it's the glass of wine I'm currently nursing in my hotel room.

I wonder if this outfit was a little more supportive than the two she wore in NC.

Shania looked and sounded fantastic. She seemed to be feeling much better. She seemed to really enjoy the show. She seemed happy and full of energy. The crowd was loud and Shania and the band loved it. I was at Raleigh as well. This concert was so much better. The few days off seemed to be what everyone needed.
