This is worth a good laugh

Talk about not knowing the history of the era....

McBride, 45, helped pave the pop-country road for artists such and Shania Twain and Faith Hill.

More like the rides on the road Shania built.

Hahaha. I like Martina and all, but she didn't pave anything for Shania.

I guess the person writing the article is practicing to be a political reporter. They already know how to make up the news.

Yeah, gee Martina was a not-so-known country artist when Shania was burning up the charts.

I am the only man in Nashville who sings Shania songs in karaoke bars.

Obviously, her songs tend to favor the fair sex when she writes them, so far anyway. I don't know if I would go to a karaoke bar and sing them. So, Jim I tip my hat to you. What the heck! Seems to me there is a "top hat" somewhere in the MIFLAW video.

That is cool Al. Actually, that is a good choice for us guys since it is a universal ballad. Granted, it leans more towards the gals, but still it is a song guys can sing too. At least you don't have to say "MIFLAW"!

Once in a while when I get my accoustic out, that is one of the songs I sometimes play. I have the song books for both the WIM and COO. Years ago before I retired, I would take walks around our State House complex on my breaks. When I was away from earshot, so to speak, in one of the local ball fields, etc., I would try it out just walking along. It was fun.

I imagine it was pretty awesome for you Al to sing that at your son's wedding. Congrats on that.

I haven't heard your voice for quite a while Al. Not remember if I EVER heard you singing. So I don't know if that is up to the level of your usual, notable skills.

That said, I don't believe I've ever heard Jim Colyer's voice at all. Seems like I was in Nashville once or twice. But it might have been before Jim's time, or at least his prime.
