Anyone gonna be in CT? (I AM!)

HI EVERYBODY!

Yes, I am still alive and kickin' up here in the NorthEast U.S.

Countdown: 33 hours and 45 minutes until Shania-time in Uncasville, CT (Mohegan Sun Casino). I can hardly wait!!!

Anybody else gonna be there??

I have a ticket for the concert, but it looks like I won't be able to make it up there for the show.

No problem... I'm planning to streak across the stage during "That Don't Impress Me Much"

I'll let you know about the show... as soon as I get out of casino prison

Total bummer!
Can't make the show? Let me guess... you're pinned down in tunnel with a nuclear weapon on your chest.

That's what it would take to keep me away!

Nothing like that, more like work. I need to save my days off for the last concert of the tour, plus I just took time off to see two shows in NC.

I'll be there, assuming that I don't hit too much traffic on my drive up. Drove down to Richmond for tonights concert from NYC and now I've got an even longer drive right past home to the Mohegan Sun.

However the front row seat that I've got will be a great motivator for my making it on time.

I just made a short post about the Richmond show over in the Richmond thread. So I won't double post it here.

But of course it goes without saying that Shania and the band were their usual awesome selves.

Shania, Again

Shania Twain

By BEN JOHNSON
Published on 4/29/2004

She's beautiful, she's confident, and she's the biggest thing in popular country rock music. Shania Twain arrives at Mohegan Sun Arena Wednesday to put spunk into the art of entertaining with her sexy stage antics and her very real songwriting ability. Twain's list of radio hits is as long as her boots are tall, and she's sure to perform something you've heard before as well as something new and exciting during her tour stop in Connecticut.

Twain became the best-selling female country artist of all time when she sold 18 million copies of her second CD, “The Woman In Me.” Her voice is mature and fun, and her catchy choruses will have you humming in your sleep.

— Ben Johnson

Shania Twain plays at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the Mohegan Sun Arena. Tickets run between $65 and $125, and can be purchased by calling 800-447-6849. For more information, visit www.mohegansun.com

Guess what the weather has been in and around the NYC/LI/CT region....

I hope it doesn't give Shania a complex.

And you probably should have. Shania seemed more herself tonight, although I don't think she's completely over the cold. But her voice sounded stronger than last night and she seemed to be hitting the higher notes better and more easily than last night.

To the best of my knowledge it was the same exact set list as last night. By the way, I was thinking during my long drive today from Richmond to the Sun, and I can think of three other songs (in addition to the two I mentioned last night in the Richmond thread) that were in the set list last fall and are now missing from the current program.

The three other songs now missing are: TYB, INITM, and SNJAPF. I especially miss the extra fiddles on TYB, they sounded so cool in concert and the wonderful video that went along with SNJAPF.

Again I don't know if this is simply a change to the set list since the European leg or if this change was made due to her being sick. I suppose it could also have something to do with the loss of BB.

With regard to the loss of BB, I payed attention tonight for you Chris. I don't recall who played what in the past, but post BB, Cory now plays the guitar solo for When and Randall plays the solo for IHOTL.

The front row on the floor was of course absolutely awesome and I managed to get the Shania Scribble on my program. I also did take about 40 pics or so, but I haven't yet had time to download them to the computer and see how well they may have come out. Some looked good in the display, but you can never really tell until you download. A few I'm sure washed out, but maybe I can tune them up in Photoshop, I'll have to see what happens.

Besides the Mystic Hilton hasn't yet heard of high-speed access. So I've got a lousy 28.8 connection right now, the best I seem to be able to get. So uploading is out of the question.
