My county fair did good this year. I saw the Beach Boys tonight and will see Sara Evans tomorrow. Pretty good acts for my little one horse town. Mike Love did one "age" joke. After about two numbers he said, "Glad we could make it here while we're still young. Right now we're gonna take a short break ... because we need a nap." Actually, the guys played two hours straight (almost) and never ran out of hits to do. All ages in the audience, including a good share of guys my age (I'm 61) wearing our beach shirts. Looking forward to seeing Sara tomorrow (saw her once before). She's my number 2 favorite. I'll make you guess who's number 1.

The summer is the best time: many artists touring, especially to fairs...

In the 80's I got to see the Beach Boys a few time at my county fair also...they were awesome.

I am looking forward to seeing Travis Tritt and Marty Stewart in November, they are playing at the university I attend. It will be just the two of them on stage no band to back them up, I think it will be a pretty good show.
