Wow! What a beautiful video! Shania looks better than ever! The breathtaking scenery really makes the video something special. But Shania, well, I can't believe how good she looks. Are you sure she had a baby?

Many of the shots and looks on Shania's face reminded me of the AMOM and TWIM videos. This is going to be a smash hit video for Shania!

Interesting that some of the close-ups have Shania's hair going the other direction, wonder if they flipped the film, or she had her hair styled 2 ways.

I think the whole composition of this image is really nice [an not because it shows her butt]

This would make a good postcard.

It also reminded me of her first video "What Made You Say That?"

I think FAFA is going to be a big hit. The first single to be released from the new album was IGGG. Its high energy, great beat, solid melody and intricately worked sound together with an innovative, eye-catching video guaranteed success.

Up!, the single, was not so successful. IMO it is one of the weaker songs, or let's say, less strong songs on the album. It is high energy and good for concert openers but essentially shallow and repetitive. Ouch!! Some of you will argue with me on that. The video did not help. For hardcore fans like us it was a fascinating retrospective on Shania's life. But for the average fan it was just indecipherable.

The next single in Europe was Ka-Ching. IMO this is one of the greatest songs on the album. It has not only an innovative and catchy melody and Mutt's genius interpretation but it is real social commentary. The video is mixed in value. Again hardcore fans will love to delve into its meanings and symbolism but Joe Average will just be a bit mystified and I think not be too comfortable with it. I think it was not released into the US market because the anti consumer message comes at the wrong time there with the economy so sluggish. Ironically, the Canadian economy is just rolling along with our Bank of Canada trying to rein it in by higher interest rates. Ka-Ching could have been released here and like all Shania's songs would have been a smash it. But if the US doesn't get it, we don't get it either.

FAFA is back on the success track IMO. First of all, it seems that Shania's biggest hits with the public at large are her ballads and FAFA is a ballad, albeit a rather fast one. Personally, I think Shania's best work is her hard-driving stuff. FAFA's melody is simple and the theme of enduring love is an enduring favourite with the public at large. This video does not try to be too clever. The theme of the song is simply illustrated by this one couple depicted at three different stages of their life. The setting is appropriately beautiful and dreamy and of course so is Shania. This should be a hit in all over the world and in different music markets - country, pop and AC for sure.

Roger loved your explanation of all the songs. I totally agree too. All of Shania's ballads are hits. The Woman in Me, You're Still the One, You've Got a Way, From this Moment On were all #1 hits. This should definitley qualify as one. And the video is very simple. I remember when the UP! video came out, people were so confused. Some of my friends didn't like it at all. And when compared to the other videos she has done, sorry to say, that was the worst. I think she needs to stay with Paul Boyd, he works magic, and makes her have hit videos!

Ka-Ching, and Up! were definitely different for Shania. They were really for her fans to try to figure out. With FAFA she went back to basics.

Paul has done some of her best.........

FTMO, TDIMM, MIFLAW, IGGG

I have to agree with you, Chris. I think that this is a georgous shot!!! Even though you can't see her face - I don't know there is just something about this shot that gets to me.

When my husband saw the video he said "AAWW......NICE - D### Mutt is lucky". I'm not sure he followed the story line though. I asked him if he noticed the cameras or the meaning of the shell that the 'couples' had and he said there were cameras, 'couples'? I think that all he saw was Shania.

Shania talks about her new single

. Shania looked forward to making the video because she admits there are many things about the song that just feel right. "'Forever and for Always' just feels good. It's one of my favorite songs. It's a true 'me' song. It may not be a typical commercial Shania song that everyone is used to, but there's more sides to me than just the cheeky, sassy female. I mean, I like writing a good old folky love song and that's what this is."

Unfortunately TWIM (the song) wasn't that big hit, none in airplay neither the video, although it's still my alltime favorite (at least rom the ballads).

I'm hope the redemption is close, and VH1- Europe will pick it UP! soon.
