So, from what we know so far ... I suppose one could begin to speculate that when there is a new album released it will retrace her country roots if she is truely starting from the beginning again (e.g. Fan Fair). Thoughts?

In the book she mentions she prefers who she started out as a writer, singing acoustically. She says it is more intimate. Her favorite piece of music right now is from the soundtrack to The Mission.

I know it will be interesting to see how the next several months play out. Getting ready to watch Oprah in the next half hour. Oprah runs in the AM and then again late at night in Chicago.

My copy is scheduled to arrive tomorrow; can't wait to start reading it!

It's a good read so far. It makes VH1 - Behind the Music look like the disney version of Shania's story. A lot of things from COO, and Up! are starting to click into place.

....Twain, whose 1997 album "Come on Over" was a huge crossover hit, revealed that she also suffers from dysphonia, an ailment where the muscles squeeze the voice box.

"My fears and anxieties throughout my whole life have been slowly squeezing my voice," Twain told Winfrey. "I was losing it slowly and progressively."

Twain chronicles the demise of her 14-year marriage and her fight to get her voice back in a new book "From This Moment On" and a documentary series "Why Not?" that debuts on Sunday on Winfrey's cable TV network OWN.

She also announced on Tuesday that she would be attending the Country Music Association festival in Nashville in June -- and handed out passes to Winfrey's studio audience.

In her memoir and TV documentary, the Canadian singer recounts how she grew up poor and witnessed her step-father physically abuse her mother on a regular basis only to see them both die in a car accident, leaving Twain to raise her siblings.

Twain called her husband's betrayal "a trigger crisis," and "the straw that broke the camel's back of something that had already been building."......

I've watched this twice now, and yes I agree if she is going to the CMA or Fan Fair Festival, then that seems logical. After all, it has always been her core.

To sum up what I am getting from this is that she is a lot more open than in interviews she did way back when. I think we know why? It's the Mutt factor. Boy he is something else. Can't even show his face on TV. But then, like Shania said on the show she hates to put him out there in public more than he likes. At first I thought, if it was me, I would not care if someone that close did something similar to me I would nail them, but after thinking about it, I don't know how I would react.
