Get Rocked
The first Legends of Rock Festival is set to rock Byron Bay with a feast of music and family entertainment on Saturday January 31. The festival will take over Red Devil Park with kids under 12 free and a lineup of non-stop legendary bands and performers. Featured artists include Stevie Wright (Easybeats,) Ian Moss (Cold Chisel,) Jim Keays (Masters Apprentices,) Angry Anderson (Rose Tattoo,) Phil Emmanuel, Kevin Borich, Swanee, GANGgajang, Dave Tice (Buffalo,) Mark Evans (AC/DC,) as well as Party Boys Buzz Bidstrup (Angels,) Paul Christie (Mondo Rock,) and Randall Waller (Shania Twain Band.) Tickets are on sale now through Oztix on 1300 762 545 or www.legendsofrockfestival.com.au. Festival Director Eddie Boekelman said a number of special guests at the festival would include The Bostocks, Feremones, The Last, Ceremony, Australia’s Got Talent winner Smoking Joe, and the winner of the Brisbane Battle of the Bands competition. The festival is a full day event, with gates open from 11am until 11.30pm. Entertainment and various amusements including a mini-legends stage for the under-15s will also be happening.
