Leena, Essie, and Janet
Here is a post emailed to me from Tom Waller because he no longer has internet access, but he saw the the pictures you posted and wishes to convey his best...Here is his own words from the Antarctic...He is presently at Drakes Passage on the RRS Ernest Shakleton...
Dear Leena, Janet & Essie,
I just want you both to know, your amazing 2 days with Shania made it on down to the Antarctic on board the Royal Research Ship RRS Ernest Shackleton, thanks to Ben who relayed your posts to me along with that amazing group photo of you with Shania.
We have no internet access for now and I rely on Marika, Ben, Bob and a few others keeping me updated with the amazing events in Europe on this leg of the UP! tour. You can follow my adventures in the Open Section in both the Forums and Shania Boards under the thread names "Tom's Antarctic Diary's" or "UPdate from Tom down South" (boards)
We are 61 deg South in Drakes Passage off the Cape of good Hope fast approaching the start of the South Shetland Islands at the very tip of the Antarctic Peninsula.
Kind regards,
Tom Waller ETO (L)
RRS Ernest Shackleton
British Antarctic Survey
Regards Benjamin
