Meet Shania! Shania is a sweet, four-year-old kitty looking for a home that will appreciate her for the special cat she is. Shania thoroughly enjoys being pet on her head, neck and chin, "head-butting" her people friends for even more pets and taking catnaps in the sun.

However, despite how much she loves these activities, Shania would prefer not to be picked up (though she will allow it once she gets to know someone well) and dislikes having her nails trimmed. Many cats dislike being picked up and having certain areas of their bodies touched. Shania needs a home with pet parents who will adore her for the cat she is and respect her unique likes and dislikes.

Due to her handling preferences, Shania would do best in a cat-savvy adult-only home or a home with respectful children 15 years and older. Shania does well with other gentle cats, but would prefer not to have any dog friends in her new home.

DOWN WITH BASHVILLE!!!

We have two, a Himalayan named Petey and a stray named Lucky. Terry loves cats and is okay with you know who. I'm okay with cats and enjoy you know who a lot more Actually, I bought Petey for $200 back in the Christmas of 2001. I wanted to do this for Terry since she went to Timmins with me. We had a great time that year there. The only problem with Petey is that if you are familiar with Himalayan cats, you know they tend to not be that friendly. He is a very handsome "Blue Point" which means he has dark gray face and ear tips as opposed to brown. Lucky, who cost us $0 is a nice friendly cat. He's a big beautiful yellow cat with a huge tail. We are pretty sure he is part Maine Coon which I originally wanted to get for Terry, but they start at about $800 for a purebred. Since we found him by the side of the road, hence we named him Lucky.

I love animals, especially horses and dogs, but this is a cute story and I hope that someone adopts this Shania and Chris, you are so right!
