Who would have thought Billy Ray's kid would score as an actress and as a singer? Well, Billy Ray did. From the time she was really little, Billy Ray would talk about Miley's singing. I remember when he was still on Mercury, label head Luke Lewis had a party at his house, and both Billy Ray and Shania Twain attended. Miley was poised and smiling, looking starry-eyed at Shania while her dad chatted on and on to Shania about show biz and how talented Miley was. Even then, Miley had the want-to's. Most kids would've been acting their age -- racing through the house screaming like a banshee. Not Miley. She had her mind on show biz and her eyes set on Shania.

I already posted it in the quote and story thread. Everyone wants to be Shania. No news on that front.

Me too, Steve! Every one in awhile when I'm watching something and there is a commercial, I'll scan the TV and come across her show. I have to admit, it's a pretty cute show and she's a cute kid!! At least she has a down-to-earth dad, so hopefully she will grow up decent!

3. Practice your art. Miley Cyrus is the whole package, compared with the likes of Shania Twain. But Cyrus needs to be sure to keep vocals as the No. 1 priority, like Christina Aguilera, and everything else, such as looks and personality, second.

She just fits into the current trend - participate in a tv show >> and have a singing career.
And most of it aimed on the younger audineces. Good business, lot of money. The rest in not important.

I guess she's kind of the Britney of her era. I just hope she doesn't end up like her. But her dad is a pretty level-headed guy. He'll keep her going straight. She seems to sell out her concerts almost instantly.
