Anyone else get emails from Musictoday

I just got an email saying the tickets I had for Nassau Coliseum are changed. I lost two floor seats. They said their hold on tickets for the venue was changed by the colisuem. Well, I told them they could cram the new tickets.


I got my two floor seats that I am gonna use from Ticketmaster.

i had this happen to me for the reba concert

they changed venus right after the tickets were sold but i was lucky to keep my seats.. so i know the feeling kris!

Emails like yours started going out Monday, Chris. This confirms my worst suspicions about the fan club. Thank goodness my front row floors came from another source. I got them by courier by the way four days after I ordered. Even in those orders the fan club did not screw up, we have to wait weeks to get the tickets.

My 2nd row for this concert I got through ticeket master. Musictoday seems to have lots of problems, and not just with Shania.

One reason I bought three individual floor seat on three different orders is I figured they wouldn't screw up three orders , at least I'd get in and if they come through with no hitch then I can easily sell the other two to the hotel concierge because they always get hotel guests asking for tix.

I hope this means that MusicToday has broken the deal, and the sale is not "final". As they changed the original purchase, people must get their money back if they don΄t want the other tickets.

So far the only people I have heard of who have been victim of bait and switch with their tickets from musictoday have been those people who bought tickets for the Nassau Coliseum and for Philly.

Dear Members,

We've been following the recent posts on the message boards, and wanted to respond specifically to some of your concerns. You are the heart and soul of the Fan Club, and it is our goal to not only meet, but to exceed your expectations. Therefore, we would like to provide some background regarding some of the issues being discussed.

Fan Club Packages:
We want to thank you for all your patience while the membership package was in production. Delays were largely due to the Gotcha Good DVD; getting the behind the scenes footage compiled, edited, and approved from numerous parties took much longer than expected. It was well worth the wait.

Ticket Presales:
Musictoday works closely with venues, promoters, and Shania's management to secure premium seating whenever possible for the ticket presales. As much as we would like to, we cannot guarantee best-of-house seats for every member. Current presales offer a selection of tickets from different areas of the venue and we will continue to work with everyone involved to secure the best possible seats for the presales.

Regarding the few shows where there were some issues, we want to apologize for the trouble, and give a few words of explanation. For the Nassau Coliseum show, the Fan Club holds were changed as the presale was beginning (a very rare occurrence). As such, we had to go back and reassign locations from the new hold to match the seats already sold. We made every effort to place fans in locations comparable to their original seats. We apologize for the late reassignments. We are, however, limited to the locations we are provided by the promoter and venue.

Scalpers:
We are adamantly against ticket scalping, and actively pursue members who are suspected of scalping tickets. Whenever possible, we match email addresses and ticket locations with auctions, and work closely with Ebay and other sites to remove ticket auctions. If a member is found scalping tickets, their membership will be revoked. It is our mission to ensure that all the presale tickets end up in the hands of Fan Club members. Unfortunately, we have no control over tickets sold and purchased through other ticket providers.

Jim & Shannon:
Jim Stabile and Shannon Martin have both left Musictoday to pursue other interests. We'd like you all to welcome the new Shannon, Sloan Spaulding. Sloan will handle all of the customer service, and is available at shaniatwaincs@musictoday.com. Please, don't hesitate to contact her - she is there to help you out.

We welcome your continued thoughts and look forward to hearing from all of you.
