Glad Shania is doing Oprah again but I don't think she will be doing it alone, I heard it was a Diva secial with other artists.
I am also glad she is going to be on Larry King. It says that it is under performance....I wonder if it is a real performance, i never knew he had that? I thought it was all talk

While I love seeing Shania perform and would like her to..I am glad to see interviews as well. I have not seen Shania the previous time (s?) she has been on Larry King, one of which I believe was back in 1996, when I was just getting interested in her, but not yet a diehard fan.

On my digital ticker at the bottom of my screen showing the program info, a couple of times this week it looks like Shania's face, but then it disappeared and Terri Hatcher showed up.

It says November beside Larry King and Oprah. Does that mean that these shows are going to be shown this month. I thought Shania was done with promotion in the US. I thought she was going to Europe and would be done. So is she flying back over here to do these shows?

Well, Shania is over in Europe until the 20th. She is almost going to have to come over here at the end of the month. I wonder if that is when she is going to tape her CMT Countdown, or if it was already taped?

Shania article in the Advocate
The Advocate issue with Shania is out. As mentioned before it is the Melissa Etheridge cover and the magazine date is November 23, 2004, the short question and answer interview is on page 98. I actaully bought a copy of it yesterday. It is basically about Shania talking about her gay fan base on a greater extent than she did on CMT Insider. I've typed the short question and answer article up below:
The article is part of the magazine's new feature Big Gay Following
Shania Twain
Our favorite Canadian-born crossover goddess has long since proved that there's nobody gay, straight, or otherwise--who doesn't love her music. In November the queen of exclamatory song titles ("Man! I Feel Like A Woman!" "UP!") delivers Shania Twain: Greatest Hits (Mercury Nashville), complete with three new tracks. Man! Do we feel stoked about it! Yeah!
(Interviewer) What do Shania drag queens absolutely need in their fashion collection?
(Shania) Good Question! Something leopard-print--Dolce & Gabbanna has lots of that. Gays love Dolce.
Which of the three new songs on your greatest hits CD is most likely to be remixed into a dance hit?
"Party for Two," definitely! It's the new single.
Why?
The opening line is "Hey, Billy, wanna come?"
Let's talk about "Man! I Feel Like A Woman!" How does it feel to have written such a great cross-dressing anthem?
It's something I'm really proud of. A lot of the stuff I do has such a feminine, female perspective, but a powerful one. It's not only about girl power, it's gay power. Yeah it's G power. I think that song really stands for both.
You used to go to gay clubs with your friends in Toronto. What's your favorite memory of those outings?
I'll tell you a naive memory. There was a group of guys who all wore makeup, and we'd all get ready together. Lots of eyeliner and hair spray and gel--Dep, the Dep days. Then we'd go to gay clubs and just have fun. Looking back, I'm like, "Wow! Some of those guys must have been gay!"
If you had to go to a costume party as one of country music's classic divas, who would you choose?
Dolly Parton! Of course I would be Dolly! I would love to wear just one of her wigs.
What would you say to all your gay and lesbian fans who are still in the closet?
Oh, my come out! We're having a party!
--- Dennis Hensley
P.S. There is a large ad for the Greatest Hits cd on page 59 that takes up 2/3 of the page. There is also a small photo fo the Up! Close dvd and brief description of it in the lower right corner. So Shania is definitely advertising everywhere!

There was a small pic of the Greatest Hits cover on the right side of the page. Then on the left half of the page there was a large pic that took up the entire left side of the page, I believe it was an older one, I think I saw some other photos from the same shoot, but I don't recall when or where. Anyway in the large photo Shania has straightened hair with bangs coming down over her left eyebrow. She is wearing a white tank top shirt and maybe a black pair of pants or a skirt, I can't tell because it mainly shows from her waist up.

I went searching to see if I could find the photo. I found the photo included in the article. It is the photo that was used on the June 1999 cover of Glamour except the Advocate zoomed in and cropped the photo.
