Hot on the heels of her recently released #1 album Metamorphosis, teen sensation Hilary Duff will bring her infectious blend of pop/rock to AOL(R) for Broadband with an intimate performance live from Los Angeles' famed Roxy Theater. America Online, the world's leading Interactive services company, today announced this special live edition of AOL(R) Music's popular BroadBAND Rocks! weekly concert series starring the versatile singer/actress. So, I guess one has to be an AOL member to see it. Doesn't matter - we'll have the DVD which will be much better anyway.

Actually, thinking more about it, has Shania and Mercury given their permission, because this could affect the DVD's sales. Unless Shania is getting a ton of money to let them broadcast it on the internet, what's the advantage. On the other hand, a 1- time broadcast may increase the DVD's sales. Don't know.

It will be a big sales boost and non-copyable for sure.

I agree that streaming video is bad presentation. If I was a non-Shania fan seeing a crappy streaming video of the the concert - would it motivate me to buy the DVD - hmm. There can be a downside for Shania & Co. here.
