Shania to attend Swiss Gala
This is from a post on the STC... I don't know the actual news source for the story...
Shania will once again attend this year's Swiss Red Cross Gala. It will be held on Saturday, June 9 at the Halles CCF in Morges, Switzerland. The theme this year is country western, "Stetson, Satin, & Lace". She is their honorary patron.

The beauty-line CFF want to gather markets with a country this Saturday in the presence of Micheline Calmy-Rey and Shania Twain.
This year, on June 9, the ball of the Red Cross will be held in Morges, and it markets CFF, as the topic is the Western, this time, but the addition of Stetson to the costume-tie, is not required. For this 6th Gala, more than 900 guests being waited, among whom also Micheline Calmy-Rey. They spend each one 600 frank for one evening with the saloon placed under the patronage of the godmother of honor Shania Twain. An auction sale orchestrated by the appraiser Simon de Pury and a tombola still make it possible to make rise the benefit. Last year 700.000 frank had been collected this way for the victims of forgotten catastrophes. Among the personalities Laura Ferrara (Miss Earth Switzerland 2006) and Robert Ismajlovic are still announced (Mister Switzerland 2003) and the very media Nadine de Rothschild.
The guests unload by special train Beautiful-Time “Continental express train” as of 7 p.m. on the quay, an operation which enables them to connect the markets without passing by the place of the Station. They will thus avoid the possible nuisances produced by the marginal ones, as that had been the case three years ago. At the time of the edition 2005, the police force had been shown finger by Philippe Fehlmann, the manager of the markets. This one too slow to intervene to regulate the incident, but also too light to stick fines on the windshield of the limousines. This year, just like in 2006, the event should proceed in serenity.
