Shania Twain Makes Her Return
In her first public appearance since her split, the singer will be a presenter at the CMAs

Shania's back!
Twain, who was spotted in Nashville on Tuesday, will be a presenter at the Country Music Association Awards on Wednesday night. ABC, which is airing the awards show, has been running ads promising a buzz-worthy surprise guest.
Nashville is buzzing all right: The CMAs will mark Twain's first public appearance since the country crossover superstar, 43, announced her separation from husband Robert "Mutt" Lange, 60, in May.
Dividing her time between her native Canada and Switzerland, Twain "hasn't put down her guitar since the split," a source told PEOPLE in July. "The songs are pouring out of her."
On Tuesday night, Twain dined with record label execs at hip Nashville restaurant Flyte World Dining & Wine; on the way out, she greeted fans. "She looked gorgeous," says an observer. Adds Flyte’s co-owner Scott Sears, "She was charming and gracious. She and her party definitely enjoyed themselves."
Twain took home the Entertainer of the Year CMA award in 1999, and was last in Nashville for the 2004 CMAs.
"She loves Nashville and is excited to spend time with all her friends that live there," says a source close to Twain. "I would expect to see her more around town in the coming months."

It is amazing how Shania making an appearance can change one's outlook for the day. I have been depressed lately with financial problems...enough problems that for the first time Jack and I will not be able to attend the STC Fan Convention next year. There just is not too much around my house to smile about right now. I have been looking for a job for months now...there just aren't any openings around me. But then Shania makes an appearance and suddenly my day becomes brighter!! I have a smile on my face and in my heart. I only wish she knew just how much she helps people get through the day. Not only with her appearances but also of course with her music. I'm so proud of her for coming back to the lime light with her head held up high. SHANIA YOU ROCK!!

MCTV has learned that tonight’s special guest performance at the 42nd Annual CMAs is Shania Twain.
CMAs have heavily promoted the special guest appearance for weeks. This will be the first time in years Shania has appeared at the CMAs.

Yes, but her rep could easily make it clear from the start that that subject is a no-go (which is quite normal), so that wouldn't really be an excuse..

Is this an official news? The one she won't be on the Red Carpet?
I think if she won't be there, there are no chances she'll say if she's working on a new album and when it'll be released....
Any way, I don't think she'll perform either...what could she possibly sing? Maybe a revisited version of "I Ain't No Quitter".... ? 
I don't think a new song (IF she has already one)

I have a feeling she is just presenting. However, when Shania performed IGGG at the opening, did she do the red carpet? I don't remember.
