Vince, did you notice the montage of Shania shots they used as fade in and fade out at the beginning and end of each segment? It featured a big three-quarters profile shot on the right hand side in which Shania breaks into a smile in slow motion. On the left are three small shots of Shania arranged vertically and taken from one of the photoshoots. In these Shania has a hat on. The words near the bottom say: Shania Twain (in red) Catchin' Up! (in white). This montage is a beautiful as any wallpaper I have seen. Do you think you can capture this? Could be a bit tricky as the three little pix don't come into focus quickly and remain in hard focus for only a second.

Roger, is this the shot you are referring to?

No Chris, I don't, I wish I did! Perhaps a wallpaper can be created like it? This capture was taken from video CD, so the quality is not very good. I capture all my (Shania) video direct to Video CD format for archiving, until I get a DVD burner that is! I will send you as high a resolution shot as possible, but it's only a little better than what I posted.

Ok, I made a wallpaper out of it. I had to do an "artsy" one to hide the resolution of the original clip.
It is on my homepage.

Thank you both, Vince and Chris!! I appreciate you have to blur somewhat to overcome the graininess. On the original moving picture the brain filters it out.
Just one question: on the TV screen the contrast is much stronger and the words Shania Twain are in red. On the wallpaper the colours are washed out and the letters are black. Was the reduced contrast deliberate? Why change the colours of the letters?
Anyway, I can play with the contrast and colour balance at my leisure (if I ever get through the Christmas shopping!)
Thanx again.

Due to the low resolution, I used a cut out of the "Shania Twain" logo from another scan, and pasted it over the unreadable text that was there, I changed the color to black with a white outline. I then made the jpg 60% transparent and put a tan background behind it. Then I put a white glow behind the white in the jpg, and that gives the final result.
