CMT Examines Country Music's Fashion Dos and Don'ts in a Two-Hour Special CMT 40 Greatest Fashion Statements

CMT takes an affectionate walk down the runway of all things fashionable and sometimes a little startling on CMT 40 Greatest Fashion Statements. The two-hour special, premiering Friday, Nov. 7 at 9 p.m. ET/PT, examines the ever-changing fashions in country music -- from the sexy to the gorgeous to the goofy. It features a tongue-in-cheek look at the best and worst fashion moments and trends throughout the history of the genre, from rhinestones and Wranglers; Manuel to mullets; big hair, belt buckles, shoulder pads and spandex.

Earning their place on the list of CMT 40 Greatest Fashion Statements are artists who have made their mark on country music fashion including Reba McEntire, Willie Nelson, Dolly Parton, Shania Twain, Faith Hill, George Jones, Tim McGraw, Kenny Chesney, Minnie Pearl, Billy Ray Cyrus and many more. The original special features interviews with country stars, celebrity stylists, fashion experts, critics and make-up artists. Some of those interviewed include supermodel Elaine Irwin Mellencamp, clothing designer to the stars Manuel, celebrity hair stylist José Eber, designer Betsey Johnson, actor Dominic Chianase (The Sopranos), comedian Bill Engvall, country star Deana Carter and more.
