Shania Nominated For People's Choice Award

FAVORITE FEMALE MUSICAL PERFORMER

Faith Hill, Beyonce Knowles, Shania Twain

The awards will be broadcast live on CBS on Jan. 11.

Well - I don't know why but Beyonce is big in music fans' minds right now. Shania has won it before I think. Shania might win because of all the media exposure she has had this year. If Faith wins - it's fixed.

Remember the AMAs!!!!! We need to do whatever we need to to assure a Shania victory. Remember also, Faith is more into the media thing, getting her face on things than Shania is.

The top vote-getters in 14 categories were announced today for THE 30TH ANNUAL PEOPLE'S CHOICE AWARDS, as determined by a public opinion poll of thousands of Americans conducted by The Gallup Organization. Charlie Sheen and Jon Cryer, stars of CBS's "Two and a Half Men," will host this year's broadcast. The winners will be announced at the star-studded special to be broadcast live from the Pasadena Civic Auditorium in Pasadena, Calif., Sunday, Jan. 11 (9:00-11:00 PM, live ET/delayed PT) on the CBS Television Network.

Well - between now and Jan. 11th - Shania is on tour and also on the Billboards award show - which is the only mass media event for Shania in that time. I don't know of any other Shania TV appearances in the US. Unless Shania fans are the voters, what can we do to get a win? If it comes down to who you like the best, the "opnion poll people" tend to go with established stars rather than newcomers. So it could be a fight between Faith and Shania and Shania should win unless it becomes a nationality thing.

Well it will be easy to see who wins before the show. Only the winner attends the people choice awards.

Shania does not have a show booked until Jan. 20th in Helsinki so at least her schedule may allow a PC appearance. Whether, she has to stay in Europe because of rehearsals or travel is another thing.
