Host: In part one Shania Twain told us how she couldn't be happier. She is now a multi millionaire, but as we know money can't buy you happiness, As a child she told Carla Ramala how her mother struggled to feed the family:

Carla: Life for you now is pretty good, but as you have said, it was not always that way, you had a bit of a turbulent Childhood, tell me a little about that?

Shania: We didn't have a lot of Money growing up so ... I struggled with ..... (pause) well we all did just wondering if, any given week were were going to go grocery shopping and just, the horrible feeling of... You know you should'nt ask, you know there is no food in the house and you're just working up the courage to ask Mum and Dad if there going to go for Groceries, we have nothing to eat, nothing for Breakfast, nothing for Lunch - You almost feel Guilty for asking, 'cause you know they just can't. There is no money.

Carla: Now you were always brought up with Music and from an very, very early age - I think from the age of three your Mother was very encouraging. What was the sort of Music you were singing and that you were into?

Shania: It was the Bee Gees, Supertramp, the Eagles, and uh Steve Wonder was a big influence.

Carla: (interrupts) And a big fan of Dolly Parton's?

Shania: And a big fan of Dolly Parton. Actually there is one song that really comes to mind of Dolly Parton's and that's "Coat of Many Colours" which I think is a beautiful song and I can relate to that as a Kid.

Carla: Do you think you could give us a few lines from that, do you think you wanna do that?

Shania: Umm (Sings without backing using her hands and voice to express)

A coat of many colours that my Mama made for me
made only from Rags, but I wore it so - proudly
although we had no Money, I was rich as I could be
in my Coat of many colours that my Mama made for me.

Carla: Everything was going fine at that time, well as much as it could be, but then tragedy struck and you parents were killed.

Shania: Well my parents died in a car accident together, and (sigh) err () and life changed quite drastically, as this was actually a point where I thought of seriously giving up music altogether, um my younger Sister and two younger brothers moved in with me, as I thought it was best to just (pause) stick together.

Carla: (Talkover during above clip) fortunately Shania did'nt give up music and after singing at a local resort, landed a record deal in Nashville and caught the attention of record producer Mutt Lange, the rock producer who was to become her husband.

Shania: He called me up and said em, you know, er "what are you writing, what sort of things are you doing, can I hear some things"? (Shania) Well I will send you a Demo Tape (Mutt) "No - Can't you just Sing something to me down the phone" (Shania laughs and tosses her head in the Studio) Well sure, so I got my guitar and sang a few things to him down the phone, and he just loved it, he fell in love with my voice from that moment on. He said let's get together and write some songs, so we did - it happened very quickly, from the time we first met to the time we married was only six months.

Carla: I would like to find out lastly, what impresses you?

Shania: Hmm I have to say, Honestly and Humility and er, Yes those are the things that impresses me most.

Shania wore a nice plain black top with bare shoulders and a necklace and pendent. Her hair was her own colour and length, just below her neck, looked very relaxed and - well you know, just Shania!

The interview had been edited, though few would know or notice as it was very well done indeed. I thought she had lost a little bit of her Timmins Accent?

When she sang "Coat of Many Colours" it was spellbinding, a song sung right from her heart. Very moving.

I wonder what a Timmins accent is?

Well if you had a Girlfriend who has lived in Timmins all her life you would know Roger. Shania still has a lot of Timmins in her speech, but I guess you have to use a trained ear to pick it up.

Many of Shania's speech patterns remind me of a girl I met when I was in Timmins and many of her speech patterns remind me of Shania... It is a regional accent but not a broad as say someone from London V/s someone from Glasgow or Newcastle.

Shania is loosing this slightly with being away from home for so long. Though I am Scottish by Birth, due to my childhood and world wide travel since few people can guess where I was born as my regional accent is very difficult to pick up. Most think I am English.

Sorry I can't tell you more, but Shania HAS still got a Timmins Accent, it is not as strong as it was... that's about all I can say..

Intro: (Carla Ramala with wide view of Swiss countryside) Shania Twain is the UK's biggest selling female Artiste. Well she invited me to her home in Switzerland for a no holds barred interview where I got to know the "real" Shania Twain

Video "I'm Gonna Getcha Good" Fades after 10 second hook line... remains audio only in the background...

Carla: I see you are a bit of a Feminist, you know quite a few of your video's are, (pause & laughes) you know "I'm gonna get me a Man" "That Don't impress me much" (Shania Laughs loudly at this point, with a shake of her head) you know, don't mess with me I'm a strong Woman sort of thing, but on the other hand your are "I love my family" "I love to cook" (Carla Smiles), you are very traditional. What is the Real Shania?

Shania: Aw.... Both, Both are the real Shania. I wouldn't say I am a Feminist per say (Pause & Big Smile) but I have to say I am old fashioned. I have to say I enjoy being barefoot and pregnant. (expressive hand signals) I enjoy cooking, I love nuturing. I love the whole domestic side, which doesn't have to necessarily be a Female thing, but I enjoy that as a Woman. I enjoy nursing my Baby. I enjoy all those things that are unique to us, as Woman. (Pause, Big Laugh with hand signals) So It's all about control.

Video "Im Gonna Getcha Good" which has been playing on sound only fades back into view with the chorus then sound fades with Carla as an small insert - Video still running.

Carla: Is it TRUE that you don't see yourself as particularly Sexual?

Shania: No I don't, I really don't. You just get into clothes, move to the music and (pauses, shakes head, and raises both hands) Voula

Carla: (Close up shot) 'Cause your video's are VERY Sexy.

Shania: (Sigh and a shrug).... But what makes them Sexy?

Carla: YOU

Shania: (Laughs very loudly and looks away from the Camera)

Video "Im Gonna Getcha Good" fades up again, right on the chorus line then fades. "From this Moment" now playing in background.

Carla: Let's talk about your Baby, Eja. Is that something that you have taken to like a duck to water?

Shania: (Smiles and tosses head back) Yes I have. It is something that I have taken to very naturally to me, I am enjoying it very much. Both of us are. (pause) Eh, err it is just this wonderful little family unit. Were enjoying ourselves, and he's a real pleasure, he is a good little baby.

Carla: (Bad Edit - something taken out there) Is it true that you hated your Body when you were growing up?

Shania: (Smiles broadly and tosses her head back) I did! First of all, I was very much a Tomboy growing up. I'm still a Tomboy (Carla smiles broadly) so when I got into my teens I found it very difficult to play football with the Guys. (Shania opens eyes wide) I mean I was seen with these "BOOBS" bouncing along (gesticulates and smiles broadly) I mean, I was NEVER seen the same again. I was never seen the same again after that (spoken softly with a slight Timmins Accent)

Carla: I think we all want to know your Beauty Secret. I read that you swear by a jelly used on Cow's Udders, can I just ask you, where exactly do you put that?

Shania: You can use it everywhere, really .... It's sort of like eh.. a kind of vaseline, but it's not. It's a, yea very natural product they use on Cow's Udders, they use on cracked skin. I will put it on my face (Carla intervenes) "You put it on your face"? Shania: Yeah I'll put a thin layer on my face, after I cleanse - I feel I can use it for everywhere. (Shrugs and smiles) I put it on the tips of my hair and leave it overnight. It's the ultimate conditioner, that and Olive Oil.

Carla: (Smiles and ) I think I will be getting some of than then, before I leave here! (Laughs)... Shania, would you say NOW that you are probably the happiest you have ever been?

Shania: YES Oh I can say that,.... yeah (slight Timmins accent here) I'm very happy, very content. My Youth was so turbulent, and now, well things are just too good to be true. I really do have the most fabulous Husband. I have a very easy child. Easy going umm.....(hand gestures) and now my career is going everywhere and Yeah.... (Smiles and ) I'm pretty happy!

It seemed like Carla and Shania enjoyed each other's company and they had a BIG job editing this down to fit in the breakfast show time slot. I would of loved to see the out takes!

Yes it was nice Chris... Oops sorry I meant to put this in the

I found it very moving.
