The unreleased first single from country diva Shania Twain's first Greatest Hits album is gaining momentum. "Party For Two" will be officially released to radio on September 7th, but it is already in the top 35 and is currently gaining 494+ spins a week. Things are looking "Up!" for the Nashville outsider.

What makes this song different from her past singles, "It Only Hurts When I'm Breathing" and "She's Not Just a Pretty Face," is that it is finding an audience aside from her fanatic fans. This song is making more of an impact since its unofficial release Thursday than any of her other singles from "Up!" Things are looking "Up!" for Shania Twain.

This could very well be Twain's first #1 since 1998. The single has yet to appear on Pop/Rock radio or AC radio. However, Country Radio is doing something they don't normally do with artists like Shania Twain (Faith Hill, etc.) they are giving her gigantic airplay. The song hasn't even been released to radio yet and it's already almost in the top 30.

Twain's last single "It Only Hurts When I'm Breathing" barely made the top 20 landing at #18.

Currington/McGrath fans will also be requesting the song to radio. We could see a top 10 hit on the All Genre Chart, the Country Singles Chart (Maybe a #1,) and the AC Chart. Let's keep the requests coming!

Twain is also outspinning Nashville's favorites like Reba McEntire, Kenny Chesney, and Travis Tritt. The Tritt tune is his first off of his new album so anticipation should pull it ahead, but Shania Twain is still going steady and with impressive numbers. Let's keep it going Shania Fans!

BTW-God Bless all in Florida who have felt Hurricane Frances power first hand and God Bless all who are in the path of Cat. 3 Hurricane Ivan!

FAFA was #1 on the adult contemporary charts or were you just referring to country charts?

TWAIN'S DOUBLE DUET

http://www.contactmusic.com/new/XMLFeed.nsf/Lookup/newsgraphic2x25x03x03xnews/$file/newsgraphic2x25x03x03xnews.gif

SHANIA TWAIN has recorded two duets of the same tune for her new GREATEST HITS album because she can't pick which version is her favourite.

The country singer recorded PARTY OF TWO with both SUGAR RAY's MARK McGRATH and labelmate BILLY CURRINGTON - and both collaborations will appear on the hits compilation.

Videos for the two versions were recently filmed in Europe.
