So NY has to wait, that is very bad. I think I will continue to request the country version on WALK, make them play it!!

Another post says the same thing. Also, a nice comment..

"I love this song. For those that say it was cheesey, have you seen pop hits these days? They are all cheesey.
Lets get on thing straight here, Shania is not considered country and she isn't considered pop. She doesn't appeal to anything specific but yet she still seems to sell well and be one of the biggest artists in the world still.

Lets get another thing straight, for an artist like Shania, singles really aren't a big deal, she is an album artist and her fans buy her albums and listen to the songs there. Shania is a brand name and as established herself as one of the most popular artist in history. No artist in history can keep up the pace of the record breaking COO, but Shania will be big for as long as she wants.

Having said this, I think this song would do very well on the pop charts and go top 20 if the video is played on MTV. Everyone knows who Shania is but we just don't know what genre she is."

The plan could also be just to make a push a country radio first. Country radio doesn't like it when artists have songs on the pop charts at the same time as the country charts. It hurts their feelings or something  . Maybe Shania is just trying to be "nice" to country radio by letting them have the song all to themselves for awhile... Then later she will make the push at pop radio.

They can't handle the competition..lol Funny they don't have a problem with artists who say "I love country, and don't want to be anything but a country artist", then totally remix their song for AC, with guitars, etc. Oh, that's right, it's not Shania.

Also,

"Shania's "Party For Two" SINGLE goes for adds at (USA) Hot/Modern AC radio on October 18 "

---shania.com

He says pop goes on the 9th, which doesn't make sense. Singles add on Mondays, albums come out on Tuesdays.

Both dates are posted in allaccess.com / future releases.
The dates are accurate (at least as now). Top 40/Mainstream format has a different impact day.
