I thought the Greatest Hits was higher than #48 for 2005?

According to Soundscan, it is not.

Yep, it sold well in 2005 without much promotion and help of highly played singles. NAd it's great it's still inside the top 200.
Soundscan is different from Billboard year end, because it's by the calendar year (january-december).

BTW, according to shania.com, Mercury did not even bothered to lowering the album's price for the holidays. Did anyone check the price of the GH during the Christmas shopping weeks?

Here are some other country sales:
7. RASCAL FLATTS FEELS LIKE TODAY 2,511,209 >> this is interesting. Their album is came out a couple of week earlier than Shania's GH, but took out really during 2004 holiday season with Bless the Broken Road and the rest. An example of singles selling the album big time.

I can see why. I got All Jacked Up for Christmas. I played it on the way down to FV's last week to go to the movies, and to be honest, only the title song is really that good. :lookout On the way home, guess who I played? :HA

Didn't move on Country. (#31). Fell to #193 on the 200.

There were a lot of new entries above Shania on the chart (200), so she shouldn't fall off next week.
