In the December issue of Men's Health Magazine on page 28 is the Monthly To Do List. On Christmas Day [25th], they are talking about kids not whining about what they got for presents, etc. The last sentence says that: "you should give the kid an eclipse lit book like: A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court. It's by Shania's great uncle Mark."

This is the second time this year Shania has been mentioned in this magazine. In fact it was in this same section! It was in August on her birthday, and they referred to her as a great songbird that we long for. Now I realize of course Men's Health is making a joke with this, but then I got thinking, how did Jerry Twain happen to end up with this famous last name? Being a Native American I'm guessing his family took the name at some point in the past, and maybe it was in honor of Mark Twain, I don't know. Maybe someone out there knows the story behind the Twain name for Shania's Family.

Of course, Mark Twain is just a pen name. The author's real name is Samuel Clemens. Maybe it was her uncle Sammy! http://www.shania-twain.org/messages/smile.gif

I know Samuel Clemens was his real name, but usually everyone thinks of him as MT. Steve

Well, you know her brother's name is Mark Twain! Shania always said her dad had a sense of humor!
