Us older folks have now lost yet another part of our childhood.

Annette Funicello has passed away at age 70 after a long struggle with MS.

I am truly saddened.

If you are honest, and in your 50's or perhaps 60's, you gotta admit you had a thing for Annette. Back in my youthful days, I used to watch Annette with the most attention I ever paid to anything at that time in my life.

I first fell "in love" with Annette, as a young boy, when she was a "Mouseketeer" on Disney's Mickey Mouse Club TV show. From there, I continued to follow her career in TV, singing and movies.

Kids today have no clue as to what they missed. Ah... the good ol' days.

I will NEVER forget her. Thank you Annette. RIP

I'm not old enough to remember the Mickey Mouse Club, only saw it in reruns in the 70s.
