AQH Persons + (Market Rank times 10), divided by 4570 (KZLA’s AQH divided by 10).

R&R will update the weights once the Spring 2004 results have been released.

AQH: This term is an acronym for "average quarter hour," and identifies
another type of radio audience statistic. Most radio ratings services
divide each broadcast hour into four quarter-hours (15-minute segments)
for measuring purposes. For each quarter- hour, within every hour of
every day, an audience sample is taken. Any listener who tunes into a
given radio channel for a minimum of five (5) minutes during a
quarter-hour segment, is counted in the AQH statistic for that
quarter-hour.

Listeners are counted for any and every quarter-hour in which they
participate. For example, if an person listens for 30 minutes, (s)he
will be counted in the AQH for the first quarter-hour, and then again in
the AQH for the following quarter-hour.

The "Average Quarter Hour" statistic is calculated by averaging all the
quarter-hours in a given daypart. For example, if Morning Drive is from
6:00am to 9:00am, there are three hours involved (making a total of 12
quarter-hours). The number of listeners counted in each of those 12
quarter-hours are added together and divided by 12 to come up with an
average number of listeners in Morning Drive quarter-hours. This is the
AQH statistic. It represents the average number of persons listening to
a given station at any given moment in time, within a given daypart.

I am using 3 email address' but think that some stations still may recognise those that appear regularly... are requests just just counted by computers on the track/artist or do you think they actualy somehow would be able to note the address'. im just a lil worried that they may discount some of the requests on the basis they know that it is a push for chart positions

But will keep ploughing them out none the less

Just to let you all know ... the KZLA Maganificent 7 @ 7 voting site is down. Great way for them to really pick the #1 song - the one they want and that won't be Shania!. Now the only way to 'vote' is either by calling 1-800-977-1939 or emailing in for the Top Twenty Countdown.

I was wondering the email question, too. I'm worried that these radio stations are just not paying attention to the same people who email them daily. I use three emials also but I wonder if they have a way to recognise them? Oh well, back to voting.

We have our work cut out for us. Don't stop requesting at all the stations, just request EXTRA at the ones that need help.

If you send in a request on Monday to the morning show, they get it on Tuesday and play it. That play won't show up until Wednesday. So, if you are doubling your requests or requesting more often and the results on showing, this is why. Don't give up!

Audience shot up 440,000 listeners. I think this plan is starting to work. Keep requesting this weekend, esp. at big market stations!!!
