My condolences Anna. May God be with you through this time of sarrow.
My Grandmother just passed away over a month ago and it was very hard for us to bear. I was really close to her and I could never have imagined her to be gone before me. You always seem to think your parents and your grandparents are suppose to live forever. They're suppose to take care of you and keep you safe. That would be wonderful, but there comes a time when they must leave and let you fly on your own.
My father said he and my grandmother spent an hour talking about God before she passed away. And the moment as she was passing on, her heartbeat was getting slower and slower, and she seemed to have her eyes fixed on the Lord and the stairway to Heaven. My dad asked her if Jesus was coming for her and she said, without looking away, "he's here."
The vision that my dad created for me when he was telling me about it, was the strongest reason I've ever had to give myself back to the Lord and convert my life to Christianity.
Just know that your Grandfather is in Heaven too. He may not be looking down upon you, but someday, you'll meet again. Do not cry because he is gone. Rejoice because he lived.
Amanda
