Hey Shania fans,

just curious...but about a year ago I got switched from CMT to GAC. I like CMT SO much better! I want it back...I wonder why they switched...

I miss CMT....

Is anybody else having this problem?

I can't stand GAC! I've never had CMT, but man I'd do anything for it at this point.

i have both Gac and Cmt i probably watch cmt a bit more though

I have both now. I have Adelphia. Some years ago we had CMT. They got rid of it for GAC. They sent us this big announcement with our bill that told us how much better GAC was, yada, yada, yada! I happen to know someone who works for the local Adelphia office. She told me it was all about money, i.e., it was costing like half as much for Adelphia to run GAC rather than CMT. So, whenever we travelled someplace where cable had CMT, I used to really enjoy it. About 2 years ago now, all of a sudden Adelphia brought back CMT along with keeping GAC. So, now I have both. Saturday mornings, I watch the Top 20 Countdowns from 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. on GAC and from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. on CMT. Now, I don't always watch the whole countdown on both. For instance today I don't have time. I have to go out and help my oldest daughther with a lawn sale. I need to be out there by 1:00 p.m. to relieve my wife who has to go get our youngest 1 1/2 year-old granddaughter to babysit. What I do is flip back and forth a lot. If I'm really hot for music, I also do VH1's Top 20 which is from 9:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m. It gives me the best of both worlds. I feel better about GAC than I did back those years ago. The big difference I notice is that a song will be on GAC and gone before it appears on CMT a lot of times, especially Shania's. My wife likes the GAC Countdown because of Bobbi Eakes. For those of you who don't follow it, Bobbi plays a character named Crystal on the soap opera "All My Children" weekdays on ABC. She does a good job. Often she has someone sittting in for her. I suspect that is why. Crystal is our youngest daughter's name too, so my wife likes it. This is the same show Kelly Ripa of Regis and Kelly was on for many years.

I get both here... CMT is far better than GAC.
