Robin's book
I just bought and read the Shania bio book in two days for the first time. I learned many new things that I didn't before. How accurate is this book percentage wise? Any specific parts incorrect?

While for the most part it is well researched, I think Eggar draws some wrong conclusions. Shania said recently in the Cityline interview the movie and the book do have things in them that never happened.

Just to add, in many times it's not only about facts, but how they were told, and what was told about them is how balanced, and what contexts they were set up.
Since Shania, not her family did not gave a sraight interview for the purpose of the biography, most description of events came from the others description. A huge minus in the book. Because in many cases you only get to know what the other side is thinking and reflecting, and not what Shania, except what he could recollect from interviews published.

For the most part, I liked it. There were a couple of times I was sad or maybe mad about things, but based on what I have come to know over the years, I would agree with FV on the accuracy. It's just too bad that Shania had not been strongly involved in the material. It would definitely been more accurate and probably just better. Then I can see her point. She is a very private person and probably didn't want to put all of her personal laundry out for public viewing. Ironically some of that happened anyway. I did like the book though. I think of the 5 I've read, it is undoubtledly the best. The others are just cosmetic overviews like you would see on CMT or something
