Sandy Geroux Rocks Conferences With Real Estate Song Parody
Sandy Geroux, a former top producing REALTOR from R))a fun and humorous song parody called “Man! I Feel Like A REALTOR®!”, based on Shania Twain’s song, “Man! I Feel Like A Woman!”
Orlando , FL (PRWEB) October 28, 2005 -- Sandy Geroux, a new millenium speaker, trainer, coach, and award-winning top producing REALTOR®, has recorded a song parody she performs during convention and conference programs for REALTOR® associations. The song parody, based on Shania Twain’s hit song “Man! I Feel Like A Woman!” has been a hit with REALTOR® groups, happy to add a little fun and entertainment to their breakout and keynote programs.
“I got the idea for the parody one day while driving in the car,” says Geroux. “I’m also a singer, and I’d recently been mulling over how to get music back into my professional life when Shania Twain’s song began to play on the radio. Suddenly, the words to the parody, called “Man! I Feel Like A REALTOR®!”, literally exploded into my mind. I had to pull over to the side of the road so I could write them down before I forgot them! At that moment I knew I just had to perform this song during my programs.”
The words to the parody came very naturally to Geroux, who is herself a former top-producing REALTOR®, and therefore knows the challenges and rewards of being in the real estate profession.
The song parody has become so popular that a Chapter of the Women’s Council of REALTORS® located near Sandy’s home has approach Sandy about allowing them to use it as a fundraiser for their Chapter. Sandy readily agreed, and an agreement was struck in which 25% of all sales of the CD will be donated to the Osceola County Chapter of the Women’s Council of REALTORS®.
According to both Sandy Geroux and representatives from the local Chapter of the Women’s Council of REALTORS®, it’s a win-win situation. The WCR will promote the CD to help boost sales, and Sandy will donate a portion of all sales (whether derived from WCR promotion or not) to the Chapter to help their philanthropic efforts.
In fact, the idea has caught on so well that Sandy Geroux has now written custom song parodies for several industries, including health underwriters (“Man! I Feel Underwritten!”), insurance agents and brokers (“Man! I Feel Like A Broker!”) and legal professionals (“Man! I Feel Super Legal!”). This song, and others under consideration, are prime candidates for customization to almost any industry, adding an element of fun and entertainment to her high-content presentations.

I would hope she contacted Shania before changing the lyrics and using Shania's music to promote her Realtor & promotions gig business. What are the laws in the USA about doing this kind of thing? I think the song sounds horrible. You can hear it on her website.
