There's a b&w pic of Shania from the VH1 Diva's special in the Life section of today's USA Today. It's from an article on celebrities and their T-shirts.
"Summertime means tiny tops, and right now we're seeing stars in especially tiny T's and tanks. At a concert, a party, a premiere, celebs are donning the form-fitting casual cropped tops for any event.
"The T-shirt is an American classic like the blue jean," says Amy Astley, editor of Teen Vogue, and is part of our fashion vocabulary in warm weather. "It's not a new idea, but what's new about it now is it's shrunk, it's much sexier, it's close-fitting and cropped to show the midriff."
Stars also wear them to show allegiance to sports teams, cities and even to other stars. And some are making statements — in addition to the fashion kind.
Kelly Rowland wore a white one recently with a Michael Jackson photo on it.
Shania Twain wore a red one at VH1's Divas Duet concert in Las Vegas last week as she sang a duet with Stevie Wonder. His face was on the shirt. And while American Idol contestant Kimberly Caldwell sported a "New York" top at a recent event, actress Alison Sweeney wore a Lakers top — proclaiming her love for Los Angeles' hoopsters. Halle Berry sported one that looked like a Goodyear tire logo but said "Good Gear."
